I am very pleased to announce that Elemental Reflexology™ is coming to Cleveland this September!

As some of you may know, over the past year I have been collaborating with Dr. Mary Jo Ruggieri, director of Ohio Institute of Energetic Studies & Bodywork (my school) developing the curriculum for this brand-new, leading-edge holistic modality called Elemental Reflexology™.

It is an exciting and fun class with an entirely new perspective on the ancient art of reflexology. It's foundation is based on the solid energetic principles of Ayurveda and the 5 elements: ether, air, fire, water and earth.

Heres a little experiment that I am doing... setting my practitioner fulcrums.

This means...

Intend your spine or from your spine to send a beam of energy up to connect to the center of the universe, source, god, jesus, buddha, a star or whatever.

Intend from your spine, or tailbone to send a beam, cord, rope, vines, tail, or energy down into the center or the Earth and connect... this is called grounding.

From the back of your head, just above your neck their is an indentation, from there, send a beam back to touch the Earth at a 45 % angle.

Now:

Set the intention to tune into / acknowledge the health of the system of Mother Earth and thank the system for being strong and healthy

Thats it... sit with it as long as needed, and see what you notice, in your body.

My thought is that society around the world and the media focus so much on the ill health of our planet. This creates a stronger and stronger vibration, creation of more dis ease...

I personally feel that some powers that be already know this and continue to feed us as a society of peaceful beings, the lie and vibration of how bad things are... Just watch the news , if we continue to focus on the dis ease or imbalance in our own lives, as well as The Earths imbalances, it will continue to get worse. I think that by your self, and collectively, we can make things better. From the health comes the healing in your system, What you think about, it what you create.

So consider playing with this idea, experiment in your own body /mind, because the brain / conciousness is in every cell, every molecule of your being. Also we are connected to and part of the Earth and the universe. So we can collectively heal ourselves, the plants, the waters, the air, the animals, and The Earth ! While you are connected, to Source, and to The Earth, go ahead and intend to let go of any imbalances in your system, by sending them down into the lava flow of the Earth, poof all burnt up!

Here's a quote from Dr. Oz on the Oprah Show this past Monday, 12/3/07. Oprah tried Acupuncture during this segment. We know it's coming!

"But let's broaden the discussion, because it's not just about acupuncture," Dr. Oz says. "The reason I'm so excited and passionate about alternative medicine is … [because it is] the globalization of medicine."

"Alternative medicines, Dr. Oz says, deal with the body's energy—something that traditional Western medicine generally does not. "We're beginning now to understand things that we know in our hearts are true but we could never measure," he says. "As we get better at understanding how little we know about the body, we begin to realize that the next big frontier … in medicine is energy medicine. It's not the mechanistic part of the joints moving. It's not the chemistry of our body. It's understanding for the first time how energy influences how we feel."

Welcome to OPPOD.org, the Ohio Polarity Practitioner On-line Directory!

My name is Nadine Hopwood Feighan (Ddeani). I am a RPP and a partner in Simple Path, a holistic healthcare practice located in Lakewood Ohio. I am a 2006 graduate of the Ohio Institute of Energetic Studies. As practitioners of Polarity Therapy, we are all bound together by a passion for our work and collectively, we make up the Ohio Polarity community. As a member of that community, I recognize that one of our largest challenges is the lack of knowledge and reliable information about our therapy modality as well as convenient access to us as practitioners. As a way to bring attention to our work, and us, I have launched the Ohio Polarity Practitioner Online Directory (OPPOD).

The goal of this site is to make finding a Polarity practitioner easier, while also marketing Polarity Therapy in Ohio more broadly. OPPOD creates our own network of APTA registered practitioners. This is an asset to us as individual practitioners and also serves to raise the awareness of our larger professional community.

This is our site and I am hoping OPPOD will provide a space where Polarity Practitioner members can exchange ideas, concerns and discoveries and that together we can advance the practice of Polarity Therapy on Ohio.

Thanks you if you are already a founding OPPOD member. You are the first to be listed in the OPPOD Directory. You can now list OPPOD.org on your business cards and promotional material. As OPPOD grows, the Directory will be further broken down into the geographic areas of the Ohio making it easier for future clients to find a practitioner closer to them. Descriptions of the services that you provide that may not be well known, are listed in the Glossary so potential clients will be able to understand what you offer. The Glossary, as well as your listing, can be edited as you offer new services. You can send your changes to me at ddeani@opppod.org. I welcome your questions, comments and suggestions. Remember this is our site. A mechanism for as us to communicate through these Member Services pages is being developed. I’ll let you know when it’s live.

Each practitioner’s listing includes a descriptive paragraph detailing your services, your picture and your contact information. The cost for your professional listing in OPPOD is only $49.95 per year.
